Role:
The Supermarket Produce Associate plays a vital role in ensuring the quality, presentation, and availability of fresh fruits and vegetables within the store. This position is responsible for maintaining the produce department's cleanliness, organization, and inventory levels to provide customers with an exceptional shopping experience. The associate will collaborate with team members to receive, stock, and rotate produce items while adhering to safety and quality standards. Attention to detail and product knowledge are essential to assist customers effectively and promote produce sales. Ultimately, this role contributes to the store's reputation for fresh, high-quality produce and customer satisfaction.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly. Basic knowledge of fresh produce types and handling procedures. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Excellent customer service and communication abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience working in a supermarket or produce department. Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices. Ability to operate produce handling equipment such as pallet jacks or forklifts. Bilingual skills to assist a diverse customer base. Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and holidays.
