Hardware Product Associate

We're looking for a friendly, reliable, and hands‑on Hardware Store Associate to join our team. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys helping people solve problems, likes working with tools and materials, and thrives in a fast‑paced, customer‑focused environment. Key Responsibilities Customer Service Greet customers and assist them in finding products or solutions for their projects Provide knowledgeable recommendations on tools, hardware, building materials, and home‑improvement supplies Answer questions about product features, usage, and availability Store Operations Stock shelves, rotate inventory, and maintain clean, organized aisles Receive, unpack, and label incoming shipments Operate cash registers and handle transactions accurately Assist with merchandising, signage, and seasonal displays Technical & Product Knowledge Learn and maintain familiarity with store products, including tools, fasteners, plumbing, electrical, lawn & garden, and paint Mix paint, cut keys, or perform other basic in‑store services (training provided) Follow safety procedures when handling equipment or hazardous materials Teamwork Collaborate with coworkers to ensure smooth daily operations Support special projects, promotions, or community events Qualifications Strong communication and customer‑service skills Basic understanding of tools, hardware, or home‑improvement projects (or willingness to learn) Ability to lift and move merchandise Ability to lift 80 pounds Reliable Transportation Schedule & Work Environment Flexible hours, including weekends or evenings depending on store needs Indoor retail environment with occasional outdoor tasks (e.g., loading lumber or garden supplies)

Pay:

$12.00 - $15.00 per hour
