Full Job Description Job Objective:
To provide a positive donor experience by providing exceptional customer service while efficiently receiving, pricing, and sorting donations. Support the overall operations of a fast-paced Donation Center to maintain an organized and productive environment . This position reports to the Donation Center Manager who evaluates performance annually. Essential Job Functions:
Greet and assist donors at the Donation Drive-Thru, professionally unloading and handling donations while placing them in the appropriate staging area. Efficiently process donations by sorting, sizing, hanging, and accurately pricing items before moving them to designated staging areas. Help maintain a secure and safe environment for both employees and donors, ensuring compliance with safety protocols. Assist with loading and unloading trucks to facilitate the movement of merchandise . Keep the donation center clean, organized, and running efficiently. Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Required Education and Skills:
Basic knowledge of current clothing, shoe styles, furniture, toys, wares, brand names, materials, and pricing. Ability to read, write, and perform simple math calculations. Excellent interpersonal skills to interact professionally with donors, customers, and coworkers. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to follow standard retail procedures and operational guidelines.
Qualifications:
Authorized to work in the United States. Flexible availability. Able to frequently bend, twist, reach above shoulder level, push and pull, crouch or stoop, kneel, repetitively use feet, and use head and neck in a twisting or static motion and to look up and/or down, and lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. Ability to effectively and safely use standard office and light industrial equipment.
