Grocery Stocker

About us Natural Food Patch is an organic grocery & natural health food store located in downtown Ferndale. We have been serving the community since 1999! We are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Grocery Stocker at Natural Food Patch in downtown Ferndale, MI. As a Grocery Stocker, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our store shelves are always fully stocked, organized, and ready for our valued customers. This position offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment where teamwork, efficiency, and customer satisfaction are highly valued.

Responsibilities:

Receive, unload, and sort incoming grocery shipments. Stock shelves, racks, and displays with products accurately and efficiently. Rotate products to ensure freshness and monitor expiration dates. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including backrooms and basement storage areas. Provide exceptional customer service by assisting shoppers with locating grocery products and answering their inquiries. Collaborate with team members to achieve departmental goals and ensure smooth and efficient store operations.

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in a similar role or in the retail industry is preferred but not required. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment, including lifting and carrying heavy items (up to 40 pounds). Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices is a plus.
