Responsibilities:
Assist the Grocery Director in overseeing daily grocery department operations and performance Supervise, train, and develop grocery department staff to ensure productivity and service excellence Monitor inventory levels, coordinate ordering, and manage stock replenishment Ensure proper merchandising, product placement, and shelf presentation standards are maintained Analyze sales data and department metrics to identify opportunities for growth and improvement Enforce food safety, sanitation, and compliance standards throughout the department Collaborate with vendors and wholesale suppliers to maintain strong product availability and pricing
Requirements:
2+ years of experience in grocery retail, wholesale, or a related food industry environment Prior supervisory or management experience preferred Strong knowledge of grocery merchandising, inventory management, and ordering processes Excellent leadership, communication, and team-building skills Ability to analyze sales reports and make data-driven decisions Familiarity with food safety regulations and compliance standards Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced wholesale retail environment
