Pay:

$15.00 per hour

Job Type:

Part-Time

Schedule:

25 hours per week, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled

As a Donation Processing Associate, you'll play a key role in accepting, processing, sorting, and preparing donated items while delivering outstanding customer service to our donors. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a hands-on environment, interacting with people, and making a positive impact through meaningful work. What You'll Do

Donation Receiving & Processing Greet donors and provide exceptional customer service

Assist donors with unloading and accepting donations

Accurately process and track donated items

Inspect donations and identify acceptable materials

Safeguard all donated goods and assigned equipment

Educate donors on donation guidelines and available services Production & Operations Sort, categorize, and process donated merchandise according to Salvation Army standards

Power sort donations as received, where applicable

Support production goals and processing standards

Load and unload Salvation Army trucks in accordance with center policy

Assist with moving merchandise and materials throughout the facility Safety & Organization Maintain a clean, organized, and safe donation area

Follow company policies and safety procedures

Report complaints, injuries, equipment issues, or property damage promptly

Assist with maintaining an efficient donation flow and processing area Training Provided Paid training on donation procedures and production standards

Hands-on instruction for donation processing and merchandise handling

Ongoing coaching and support from store leadership

Required Skills & Abilities Strong customer service and interpersonal skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Dependable attendance and strong work ethic

Ability to communicate effectively in English

Ability to follow directions and safety procedures

Basic organizational and problem-solving skills Preferred Experience Customer service experience

Retail, warehouse, production, donation center, or material handling experience preferred

Experience working in a nonprofit or mission-driven environment is a plus Physical Requirements Frequently stand, walk, bend, reach, and lift throughout the workday

Ability to regularly lift and move up to 25 pounds

Ability to move larger items with assistance when needed
