Job Description
Producing Associate Branch Manager General ResponsibilitiesThe Associate Branch Manager works under the direct supervision of the Branch Manager and serves as an experienced producer while preparing for future branch leadership opportunities. This position is primarily responsible for originating new insurance business throughprospecting, business development, relationship management, and community involvement while serving as a leadership resource within the office.
The Associate Branch Manager does not directly supervise employees but demonstrates leadership through mentoring, collaboration, operational support, and modeling Stockman Insurance's culture and expectations.
Generate new commercial and personal insurance opportunities through prospecting, networking, referrals, and community involvement.
Build and maintain strong client relationships.
Conduct insurance reviews and needs assessments.
Present coverage recommendations and close new business opportunities.
Maintain a high level of technical insurance knowledge.
Serve as a referral resource for Stockman Bank and Stockman Wealth Management.
Leadership DevelopmentModel Stockman Insurance's culture, professionalism, and core values.
Serve as a positive leader and role model within the office.
Assist the Branch Manager with office initiatives, projects, and implementation of agency goals.
Support onboarding of new employees through mentorship and sharing best practices.
Provide guidance and technical support to less experienced team members.
Lead meetings, training sessions, or projects as assigned by the Branch Manager.
Assist with carrier meetings, community events, and agency representation.
Participate in strategic planning discussions regarding market growth and business development.
Demonstrate readiness for increased leadership responsibility through initiative, accountability, and sound decision-making.
Operational SupportReinforce agency workflows, documentation standards, and communication expectations.
Promote collaboration across all departments.
Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and customer experience.
Assist with implementing office initiatives and operational improvements.
Support the Branch Manager during periods of absence by helping coordinate office priorities and communicating important information.
Community & Agency LeadershipRepresent Stockman Insurance professionally within the community.
Participate in organizations and events that support agency growth.
Foster strong relationships with referral partners and centers of influence.
Willingness to work in community projects.
Experienced in using Windows based applicationsMust have a current and valid driver's license and be able to drive long distances at times.
Ability to travel - approximately 25% travel required

Montana State insurance licenseStrong Commercial and Personal Lines background (5+ years)Proven Business development experience / track recordAbility to work independently and as a team member.Willingness to work in community projects.
Experienced in using Windows based applicationsMust have a current and valid driver's license and be able to drive long distances at times.
Ability to travel - approximately 25% travel required
