Job Description

The Country Store Retail Warehouse Associate II Stevensville, MT The Country Store is the retail division of Skagit Farmers Supply, a diversified local agricultural supply cooperative. The company was founded in Burlington, WA in 1934. We have grown and developed into four business divisions: agronomy, retail, energy, and wholesale distribution & milling. Our mission is to serve the community to preserve and enhance the viability of the agriculture economy. Our Country Stores provide quality goods and services for all "Farm-Pet-Home" needs! We proudly operate multiple locations across Washington and in Stevensville, Montana.
JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Greet and interact with customers. Consult with customers to understand their needs and preferences related to merchandise. Assist with customers' orders by loading and unloading products as needed. Maintain product stock in the store and warehouse. Assemble products and displays. Deliver products to customer delivery points. Perform preventive maintenance on equipment (delivery truck, forklift, etc.) and facilities. Dispense propane and kerosene. Safely operate forklifts and pallet jacks. Safely and regularly operate a vehicle to make deliveries, visit various worksites, other businesses or customer locations. Maintain a safe and clean work environment. Exhibit an ability to receive feedback, adapt to new processes and continuously develop skills. Demonstrate the ability to collaborate, communicate well and effectively relay information with an emphasis on developing positive professional relationships. Practice punctual and reliable attendance. Perform other duties as assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma or equivalent. Pass a pre-employment drug screen as a condition of employment. Possess a valid driver license and maintain a safe driving record. Demonstrate strong organizational, multi-tasking and problem-solving skills. Physical ability to stand for extended periods; walk, bend, stoop and kneel frequently Physical ability to lift, carry, push and pull up to 60 pounds. Professional appearance and demeanor. Commitment to excellence and high standards. Proven track record of being dependable and reliable. Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing. Demonstrate strong organizational, multi-tasking and problem-solving skills. Demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Windows and Office.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Be at least 21 years of age and possess a valid driver's license (or 18 years of age with a valid commercial driver's license) to operate a commercial motor vehicle (10,001 lbs. GVWR). Maintain a safe and insurable driving record. Be able to obtain a Medical Examiner's Certificate for the operation of a commercial motor vehicle. Experience working in a retail setting. Product knowledge in one or more of the following areas: feed, seed, pet food & supplies, hardware, fencing, animal health, tack, clothing & footwear, lawn & garden or wild bird supplies. Experience dispensing propane cylinders. Experience safely operating pallet jacks, forklifts, etc.
SCHEDULE
This is an in-person, part-time position, 16 - 32 hours/week, Sunday through Saturday. Must be available to work evenings and/or weekends as needed.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
$17.25 - $21/hour. Upon meeting eligibility benefits, the company offers the following benefits to part-time employees: 401(k)
