Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Stockroom Lead to oversee inventory management, stock organization, and team supervision within our company. This vital role ensures that stockroom operations run smoothly, efficiently, and accurately, supporting overall plant performance. As a Stockroom Lead, you will be responsible for maintaining optimal inventory levels, supervising stockroom staff, and collaborating with operational teams to ensure product availability. Your leadership will help foster a well-organized, customer-focused plant atmosphere that drives the business objectives. Responsibilities
- Open every box/crate and inspect. Confirm part numbers on nameplates.
- 3 way match must be confirmed and received in SAP
- Tag and place items in locations
- Parts will be tagged out for all repairs including SDS sheets, fluids removed
- Repair procedures include contacting supplier, receiving repair quotes, approvals from manager
- Physical Inventory counts to be completed including variances noted
- Provides customer service support for emergency repairs with timely response to emails
- Expectation is for the floor to be swept at minimum of 3 times per week.
- Ongoing 5S projects will be assigned to improve organization and cleanliness.
- Identify abnormalities associated to proper GMP/5S (scrapped parts, empty boxes left on shelf)
- Take picture and send to leads.
- Lead to handle all VMI orders, issues.
- Manager to handle all MRP (Stock item) orders issues.
- Manage all chemicals/manufacturing supplies required by operations.
Includes:
1. Conducting weekly inventories. 2. Contacting supplier to place order. 3. Follow-up on orders to make sure they are shipped on time. 4. Follow established receiving procedures. 5. Take supplies to operations storage areas when requested. 6. Help physically find parts in warehouse. 7. Deliver to location when applicable.
- To handle emergency requests a phone call needs to be made.
- Email/Teams requests must be responded to by end of the day.
- To gain a better understanding of the components in the storeroom:
- Spending time in the plant learning the layout of the plant and its equipment, the functionality, and the process.
- Performs and other duties as assigned by Management.
