Full-Time:
$1,000 sign-on bonus ($500 payable after 90 days and $500 payable after 180 days). -
Part-Time:
$500 sign-on bonus (payable after 90 days of employment). Pay Rate $17.00/hr. + $5.00 if working weekends Job Summary The Support Associate is responsible for the successful delivery of customer merchandise to the correct gate or point of no return, inventory receiving, merchandise pricing, loss prevention, store housekeeping, driving escort vehicles while ensuring adherence to US Customs Regulations, Airport regulations and DFA company policies and procedure. Essential Functions 1. Handle inventory control including; receiving; unloading, unpacking and examination of incoming shipments, rejections of damaged items, record shortages, and corresponding with shipper/warehouse to rectify damages and shortages (if appropriate). 2. Ensure duty-free merchandise is delivered on time, to the correct location, to the correct customers per DFA delivery procedures, and U S Customs regulations. 3. Where applicable, operates Escort Vehicle and/or attends exit Booth to ensure export of purchased merchandise. 4. Process and replenish merchandise by pulling correct product as needed, ensure proper shelf placement and shelf maintenance. 5. Perform floor moves, display maintenance and store housekeeping and cleaning. 6. Ensure customer receive outstanding service by providing a friendly environment which includes greeting and acknowledging every customer and handling inquiries in a professional manner when on the sales floor. 7. Performs all other duties as required. Competencies 1. Regular and reliable attendance. Flexibility and ability to work varied hours/days as business needs dictate. 2. Ability to speak and hear effectively with customers, vendors and/or associates of the organization. 3. Ability to read efficiently, perform basic mathematical functions (count, add, subtract, divide & multiply) and write to accurately complete work related documentation. 4. Vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Work Environment Typical retail environment with minimal privacy utilizing all standard retail equipment with exposure to elements such as dust fumes, noise and odor. Physical Demands 1. Physical demands include frequently standing for long periods of time; standing, walking; ability to reach above or below shoulders, twist at the waist, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, climb and balance. 2. Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to twenty (20) pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to fifty (50) pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to one hundred (100) pounds. 3. Ability to operate and use equipment (manual) such as ladder, step stool, objects with wheels, spray bottles and other cleaning equipment necessary to perform job function. 4. Ability to operate mechanical/electrical equipment used to perform the job functions.
Required / Preferred
Education & Experience 1. No experience necessary, preferable experience in a retail customer service environment. 2. High School Graduate, G.E.D. and equivalent work experience of one year. 3. Ability to work well under pressure. 4. Strong organizational skills along with excellent oral and written communication ability.
