Grocery Clerk Food Towne Market North Chili, NY Job Details Full-time $18.50 - $20.50 an hour 10 hours ago Benefits 401(k) Paid time off 401(k) matching Qualifications Customer communication Packing Merchandising Forklift Warehouse experience Materials handling Full Job Description Responsibilities Stock shelves efficiently by unloading deliveries, organizing products, and ensuring proper placement to maximize sales and presentation Operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts, and RF scanners safely to load, unload, and transport goods within the store and warehouse areas Maintain accurate inventory control through regular stock counts, inventory management systems, and proper documentation of shipments Assist customers with product inquiries, provide knowledgeable recommendations on produce and retail items, and deliver outstanding customer service Support shipping & receiving activities by verifying incoming shipments, processing outgoing orders, and ensuring timely delivery of products Perform routine cleaning and maintenance tasks to uphold safety standards and store cleanliness Collaborate with team members on merchandising efforts, packaging products, and organizing displays to enhance store presentation Skills Proven experience in retail store operations or warehouse environments with familiarity in inventory control and materials handling Proficiency with RF scanners, pallet jacks, forklift operation (certification preferred), and other warehouse equipment Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting Excellent communication skills; bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customer bases Knowledge of produce handling, packaging techniques, and retail product knowledge to ensure quality standards are met Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while adhering to safe lifting practices Basic math skills for inventory counting, pricing adjustments, and transaction processing Customer service orientation with a friendly attitude that fosters positive shopping experiences Ability to work independently or as part of a team while maintaining high standards of safety and cleanliness Join us today to be part of a vibrant environment where your energy makes a difference!
