Duties Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system efficiently to process sales, returns, and exchanges with accuracy and speed. Provide outstanding customer service by greeting shoppers warmly, answering questions, and assisting with product selections. Conduct product demonstrations and upselling to promote featured items and increase store sales. Maintain clean and organized shelves through merchandising, stocking, and inventory management to ensure products are attractive and accessible. Handle cash transactions with precision, including cash handling, balancing registers, and managing receipts. Monitor store security by adhering to phone etiquette protocols and ensuring safety procedures are followed. Assist with inventory counts, stock replenishment, and product ordering to keep shelves fully stocked. Engage customers through friendly communication skills and bilingual support when needed to serve diverse communities effectively. Perform routine store maintenance tasks such as cleaning, organizing displays, and ensuring the store environment is inviting. Support team members by supervising or assisting during busy periods and participating in product demos or promotional events. Qualifications Prior experience in retail sales or grocery store operations is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is key! Familiarity with POS systems, cashiering procedures, and basic retail math for accurate transactions. Strong communication skills with the ability to provide excellent customer service in person and over the phone. Demonstrated supervising experience or leadership qualities are a plus for those interested in growth opportunities. Ability to perform basic math calculations quickly and accurately for cash handling and inventory management. Bilingual skills are highly valued to better serve diverse customer bases.
