Position at a Glance Location Opry Mills Mall, Nashville, TN Pay Range $12-15/hour (DOE) Status Regular, Part-Time Schedule Flexible; Evenings & Weekends Experience 6+ months retail or customer service Reports To Store Manager About the Role As a Sales Associate at our Opry Mills location, you'll be the face of an iconic specialty retail brand—one that draws both Nashville locals and tourists from across the country. You'll craft handmade chocolates, engage guests with product demonstrations, drive in-store sales, and deliver a best-in-class shopping experience in one of the region's busiest retail destinations. What You'll Do Deliver outstanding guest experiences, greet every customer warmly, offer product samples, and guide purchasing decisions with confident product knowledge. Drive retail sales by actively recommending products, upselling gift options, and communicating current promotions and seasonal offerings. Hand-dip and craft store-made chocolates and confections to order, following food safety standards and quality guidelines. Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately, processing all payment types and applying discounts and promotions correctly. Fulfill phone and in-person orders, including special orders, ensuring accuracy and timely completion. Maintain visual merchandising standards—stock, merchandise, and rotate product to keep the sales floor fully stocked and visually inviting. Uphold food safety and sanitation standards; perform cleaning duties to keep the store in impeccable condition. Contribute to a positive team culture in a high-traffic mall retail environment, supporting teammates during peak periods including evenings and weekends. What We're Looking For Genuine enthusiasm for customer service and face-to-face retail sales, you enjoy engaging people and creating memorable moments. Strong verbal communication and active listening skills; comfortable with product demonstrations and suggestive selling. Ability to work independently during slower traffic periods and collaborate effectively as part of a team during high-volume mall hours. Reliable, punctual, and schedule-flexible, including availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays, peak times for Opry Mills. Comfortable following food preparation and safety instructions; experience in a food-service or specialty food retail environment is a plus. Ability to learn and accurately operate a POS system and handle all forms of payment. Willingness to develop product knowledge and become a genuine brand ambassador for RMCF's premium confections. Physical stamina to stand, move, lift up to 25 lbs. regularly (up to 50 lbs. occasionally), and work behind a counter throughout your shift. Why Join Our Team at
