Merchandise Stocker 2026-09-18 KC Dollar is hiring a Merchandise Stocker to join our South General McMullen Drive location. This role is a mix of stocking, physical labor, and store safety. Job Title Merchandise Stocker Position Summary The Merchandise Stocker is responsible for receiving, stocking, and maintaining store merchandise while keeping products organized, well-presented, and properly labeled. This associate also supports loss prevention efforts through door monitoring and theft deterrence, and assists with truck unloading on delivery days. Key Responsibilities Merchandising Stock, rotate, and merchandise products across all departments, ensuring shelves are full and presentable Maintain cleanliness and organization of assigned aisles and displays Pull and condense slow-moving product and report overstock or damage to the manager Assist with seasonal resets and new planogram setups Keep product labels and price tags accurate and visible Truck Unloading and Receiving Unload merchandise from delivery trucks, including heavy boxes and mixed pallets Sort and stage freight by department for distribution to the floor Operate hand trucks and pallet jacks safely (training provided) Verify quantities against packing lists and flag discrepancies to management Door Guarding / Theft Prevention Rotate to the store entrance as assigned to greet customers and deter theft Monitor entry and exit points, remaining alert and professional at all times Alert management or loss prevention staff if suspicious behavior is observed — do not physically intervene Check receipts when directed by management per store policy Maintain a visible, courteous presence that promotes a safe shopping environment General Store Support Assist other departments as needed during slow periods Maintain a clean and safe work area at all times Follow all company safety and loss prevention policies Communicate professionally with customers and team members in English and/or Spanish Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout the shift Must be able to stand, bend, and walk for the duration of the shift (4-8 hrs) Reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours including weekends Comfortable working near the store entrance in a loss prevention capacity Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus Prior retail or stocking experience preferred but not required Schedule Part-time and full-time positions available. Availability on weekends and truck delivery days required.
