We are looking for someone who enjoys working with people, is willing to learn about shoes and proper fit, and is comfortable providing hands-on customer service, including helping customers put on and try on shoes when needed . Our Sales Associates work one-on-one with customers, answer questions, recommend shoes and other products, help customers try on shoes, keep the sales floor organized and stocked, and create a positive experience for everyone who comes into our store. This is an active position that requires frequently going up and down stairs, using ladders, and retrieving shoes for customers. Responsibilities Greet customers and provide friendly, helpful service Ask questions to understand each customer's needs Help customers find the right shoes, size, fit, and products Assist customers with putting on and trying on shoes when needed Retrieve shoes for customers from our stock areas Safely use ladders to reach merchandise Frequently go up and down stairs throughout your shift to retrieve shoes Learn about the different brands and products we carry Recommend additional products when appropriate Keep the sales floor clean, organized, and presentable Restock shoes and maintain assigned areas Help with inventory, stocking, and putting merchandise away Work together with other team members to make sure customers are taken care of Stay productive during slower periods by stocking, straightening, and completing assigned tasks Help resolve customer concerns in a friendly and professional way What We're Looking For Friendly, outgoing, and comfortable talking with customers Comfortable providing hands-on assistance and helping customers put on shoes Comfortable safely using ladders and frequently going up and down stairs Comfortable with an active job that requires moving around throughout the shift Dependable and able to arrive on time for scheduled shifts Strong communication and customer service skills Willingness to learn about shoes, brands, sizing, and proper fit Ability to multitask and help multiple customers when the store is busy Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team Basic math and computer skills Ability to learn our point-of-sale/register system Retail or sales experience is helpful, but we are willing to train the right person Flexible availability, including some evenings and weekends
