Job Description
Red Truck Bakery is looking for a reliable and organized Operations Lead to support our day-to-day bakery operations. This position works closely with the Regional Manager and Operations Manager, with a primary focus on restocking baked goods, cake and catering deliveries, receiving ingredients, packaging, etc, and maintaining the systems in place that keep the bakery organized and running smoothly. Since opening at the original location in Warrenton, Virginia in 2009, Red Truck has risen to regional and national prominence for its iconic, award-winning baked goods. The bakery now encompasses an additional location in Marshall, Virginia, two cookbooks and nationwide shipping. This is a part-time position with the opportunity for full-time hours during the holiday season. Responsibilities
- Monitor inventory and ensure bakery and retail areas are properly restocked throughout the day
- Complete scheduled deliveries between locations and assist with catering and other local deliveries as needed
- Receive, check, organize, and store incoming deliveries
- Package and label bakery products for retail and storage
- Maintain organized storage, packaging, and staging areas
- Follow FIFO and proper product rotation
- Communicate inventory shortages, product concerns, and operational needs to management
- Help keep packaging and other essential supplies stocked
- Learn and understand shipping operation and how to fulfill orders
- Support the Regional Manager and Operations Manager with daily operational needs Requirements
- Reliable, organized, and able to work independently
- Strong attention to detail and communication
- Comfortable driving regularly
- Comfortable interacting with customers
- Physically able to lift 30 pounds and move bakery products and supplies
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Valid driver's license and reliable driving record
- Weekend and holiday-season availability
Pay:
$16.00- $18.00 per hour Expected hours: 20.0
