Donations Associate

Donations Center Associates are valuable members of our team. They are a front facing point of contact for receiving the donations that make our entire operation possible. Candidates must be friendly and enjoy working with the public, as well as have strong organizational skills, and enjoy physical movement and activity. Also responsible for processing goods and some sorting/pricing.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Greet donor vehicle courteously and unload donated goods with care. Issue receipts to donors as requested. Assist with the initial separation and delivery of donated materials to Sorting, Pricing and/or Hanging Workstations. Communicate to donors why certain items cannot be accepted by Bargains Galore Thrift Store and adhere to company policies for such items. Assist in the loading and unloading of donated goods from vehicles as needed. Price certain inspected goods for placement onto retail sales floor. Sanitize and clean some goods and maintain clean duty station. Refer customers' complaints or inquiries to management. Provide assistance and support to other Bargains Galore staff as necessary.

ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Accomplishes all tasks as appropriately assigned or requested by management. This is an active position and requires the ability to lift, up to 40 lbs or more, bend, and do repetitive motions, and be on your feet for a large portion of the day.

QUALIFICATIONS

Experience, Competencies and Education:

High School or equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred One year of experience in a related field is preferred

Customer Service Skills:

Must possess and consistently demonstrate the ability and willingness to utilize excellent customer service skills.

Language Skills:

Ability to read, analyze and interpret documents relating to store operations.

Mathematical Skills:

Ability to perform basic mathematical equations is preferred.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to follow instructions, adhere to policy, and make basic decisions, or ask for guidance as neccessary.

COMPENSATION/SCHEDULE

Position is

FULL TIME.

Days are Tuesday- Saturday. Hours may vary but will usually be 35-40/week. Employee's receive store discount. Apply with resume on Indeed or drop by the store and fill out an application.
