Vehicle Integration Validation Project Engineer Job Duties:
Conduct validation testing, provide insights, test plan development, and tracking of all aspects of assigned testing to validate "Best in Class" vehicle functions. Lead effort to develop test strategies, procedures, and processes for vehicle testing. Analyze project requests, discuss project requirements with requestors and formulate preliminary project plans, budgets, and schedules. Work directly with internal and external customers regarding test requests, planning, execution, and reporting. Create, coordinate, manage, and execute required program budgets. Develop, track and report on program related metrics. Establish and maintain cooperative and productive work relations with truck divisions. Specify instrumentation equipment, vehicles, loading configurations, software versions, and data collection strategies for assigned testing. Participate in set up of tests, data collection and analysis. Write reports as appropriate, incorporating results, conclusions, and recommendations. Develop and maintain a high level of familiarity with PACCAR products and service tools. Present results of testing or investigative projects to divisions or management personnel.Job Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, or a related STEM field or foreign degree equivalent and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate automotive industry experience, including at least 5 years of experience in each of the following: Performing advanced diagnostics of electrical and Controller Area Network (CAN) signals using PicoScope automotive oscilloscopes, using waveform analysis and protocol decoding features and interpreting differential CAN bus signals in complex vehicle networks across multiple electronic architectures Simulating CAN signals to emulate truck subsystem behaviors under specific input conditions, enabling comprehensive testing and validation to reduce field failures Designing and developing signal processing systems to identify, analyze and filter signals, using Fast Fourier Transform and Wavelet Transform to detect and mitigate RF signal interference Integrating machine learning algorithms to enhance signal classification, interference excision, and real-time adaptive filtering to improve system accuracy and responsiveness Designing and developing embedded systems to interfaceJ1939 CAN
signals with sensors and controllers for Rapid Control Prototyping. Designing comprehensive test cases to evaluate system performance and safety compliance with government and safety regulations Following Automotive SPICE V-Model development process, improving requirement traceability and project alignment Experience may be gained concurrently.SALARY:
