ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Deliver and adjust daily lesson plans to meet curriculum goals. Track attendance; report two consecutive absences and submit weekly reports. Maintain student success rates at 80% or higher; intervene with at-risk students. Record and submit final grades per policy. Assess student performance and adapt instruction to individual needs. Coordinate guest speakers, field trips, and clinic visits. Conduct lectures and hands-on demonstrations. Advise students on program curriculum and academic progress. Alert leadership if a student's grade drops below 77%. Enforce safety and classroom protocols. May assist with externship coordination.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Associate degree (or equivalent military training) in surgical technology. A minimum of four (4) years• of job-related training and experience for those instructors who are not graduates from an accredited program in the field in which they teach (must have an associate degree). 3 years of OR scrub-role experience within the last 5 years OR 3 years of ST teaching experience. Active CST credential (NCCA-accredited). Current NBSTSA certification or state-required credential. Strong verbal/written communication skills. Proficiency in Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
