Technical Development Operations Location:
South San Francisco, California (On-site)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled professional to support technical development operations for gene therapy programs within a collaborative laboratory and office environment. Our team plays a critical role in executing experimental and production processes that advance research and development goals.
Responsibilities:
Execute experiments related to cell culture and transfection processes, including working with shake flasks and various bioreactor scales. Maintain seed train cell cultures, perform expansions, cell banking, and carry out cell culture harvest operations. Support downstream purification operations, such as chromatography, filtration, and column packing, ensuring accurate equipment operation and documentation. Assist with process development activities, including preparation and maintenance of documentation for research-grade production using digital repositories and in-house systems.
Required:
Bachelor's degree in Life Science or Engineering, or equivalent experience. 0-2+ years of experience working in a pharmaceutical, biologics laboratory, or manufacturing environment. Understanding of upstream and/or downstream process theory, including cell culture, harvest, tangential flow filtration, and column chromatography, along with relevant equipment operation. Strong communication skills with ability to work both independently and in team settings, maintain detailed records, and assist in document revisions.
