We provide our summer associates with substantive work that accurately reflects what it is like to be a full time associate at the firm. We work in sophisticated technological areas such as biotechnology and pharmaceuticals, artificial intelligence, computer hardware, software and the Internet, semiconductors, advanced electronics, and a wide variety of medical and mechanical systems and devices. As a summer associate, you will have the opportunity to work closely with our attorneys on both patent litigation and patent prosecution matters. You will get substantive work conducting legal research, drafting memoranda and briefs, working with a team on litigation matters, as well as reviewing and responding to USPTO Office Actions. We are currently accepting applications from the JD Class of 2029 for our 2027 and/or 2028 summer associate programs, and we seek candidates with a strong interest in patent litigation and/or patent prosecution. Candidates with backgrounds in electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science, mechanical engineering, biomedical engineering, biology, biochemistry, chemistry, biotechnology, immunology, and other life sciences, and all degree levels will be considered. We prefer students who have top academic credentials, excellent written and oral communications skills, and the ability to work well on a team. We offer competitive salaries
  • our summer associate salary is $4,327 per week
  • and our summer program is 10 weeks.
