Job Description

TECHNICAL ASSOCIATE I
, Mechanical Engineering , to work on fast-paced, interdisciplinary, collaborative projects developing the next generation of drug delivery systems in the Traverso Lab at MIT. Will design and prototype micro- to milli-scale devices using additive/subtractive/molding techniques; functionally characterize devices by assisting with and performing in vivo and ex vivo experiments; summarize and document research results by writing Standard Operating Procedures for efficient development of successive device generations; present research findings at laboratory meetings; research and provide content for presentations, grant progress reports as well as fulfill internal request for information; conduct literature reviews to support above work and may co-author manuscripts; may assist in materials procurement as well as planning lab events; and ensure safety standards/procedures are followed, prepare lab for inspections, and correct problems.
