Non-Exempt Qualifications:
Approximately three to five years' experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified, or graduation from a two-year college or technical school with coursework on information technology, or any equivalent combination of education, experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities CompTIA A+/ Net+ Certification or equivalent level of demonstrated expertise/certification requiredEssential Job Functions:
Repairs, maintains, and upgrades technology-related equipment. Reads and interprets technology documentation and manuals. Troubleshoots issues that arise preventing proper function or operation of desktop, laptop, chromebook, and various video display equipment including but not limited to digital projectors, wall mounted televisions, and document cameras. Research using Google, internal Knowledgebase, and platform support portals to find solutions to common problems. Uses a work-order tracking system to support timely support, maintenance, and repair of technology equipment. Maintains general knowledge of computers and related technology devices. Works comfortably within both a Google EDU Workspace and a Microsoft Windows environment regardless of software version and performs general OS updates and driver installation. Works independently from assigned task/problem lists to ensure thorough diagnostics and problem resolution, engaging other Technology staff as needed. Communicates effectively with users and other Technology staff. Supports Technology leadership in technology evaluations for long and short range technology planning. Trains technical staff at the building level to follow proper operating procedures necessary to maintain the integrity of the network and technology devices. Attends classes, seminars, conferences and reviews professional literature to stay current with trends and developments in educational technology. Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor.Physical and Cognitive Requirements:
The major physical and cognitive requirements listed below are applicable to this job classification within Moore County Schools. Work in this classification is considered medium physical work requiring the exertion of up to 40 pounds of force occasionally and up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.Must be able to:
