Kean Global Learning Design Technologist The Learning Design Technologist (Professional Services Specialist 2) is a professional position at Kean Global reporting to the Director for Learning Design and Academic Technologies. The position is responsible for providing platform leadership and support and contributing to our learning experience design processes and projects. This position will intersect with and support the daily management and functioning of Kean Global's creation and delivery of online courses and programs and provides faculty and student support. In addition to educational technologist functions like platform research, testing, and support, this position will perform a learning technology design function alongside instructional designers and departmental leadership. The position exists within a highly collaborative team environment. The Learning Design Technologist will be expected to work within an established team culture and user experience philosophy while providing thought leadership to help shape the future of Kean's online learning experience. This position requires travel and a flexible schedule including evening and weekend hours.
Qualifications:
Graduation from an accredited college with a Bachelor's degree and three years of professional experience working with learning management systems in an online learning setting within an institution of higher education or in education is required. A Master's degree in a related field may be substituted for one year of the required experience. Experience with one or more of the following platforms is preferred: learning management systems, online proctoring, course materials management systems, publisher courseware. Experience with one or more of the following web technologies is also preferred: HTML, CSS, JavaScript. Candidate must have strong technical knowledge and the ability to navigate technical support and multiple priorities; strong interpersonal skills and the ability to accomplish simultaneous tasks; and excellent oral and written communication skills. In compliance with New Jersey's Pay Transparency Law, the negotiated annual salary range for this position is: $84,131.83 - $103,245.42 (Steps 3-8). Salaries for internal applicants will be based on union negotiated calculations. Location assignments will be based on operational and university needs. Faculty may also be assigned to teach online classes for Kean Global.
