Job Description

Position Title Technical Assistant Required Application Type School Related Personnel Salary/Pay Scale $45,000 - $60,000 (Based on Experience) Job Description Assists with the maintenance and repair of computers and related equipment in a networked environment; Accompanies technical personnel on field assignments to assist with manual work (i.e. moving equipment, pulling wires, putting ends on wires); Observes and learns basic aspects of computer installation and maintenance and network administration; Installs basic computer application software under the supervision of technical personnel; Attends training as needed to upgrade and update skills; May assist in computer office management procedures such as inventory, purchasing and shipping and receiving. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma and one (1) year of experience involving maintenance and repair of computers or computer networking equipment.
NOTE:
Completion of thirty (30) credits• with a major in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems or related field or possession of a professional IT certificate may be substituted for the required experience.
