Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Sales Representative to join our growing team! In this role, you will be the driving force behind expanding our customer base, building strong relationships, and delivering exceptional service. Your enthusiasm for sales, combined with your strategic mindset, will help us reach new markets and achieve outstanding results. You will play a vital role in managing client accounts, generating leads, and closing sales across diverse industries. As a Sales Representative, you'll primarily field inbound calls and emails from our established customer base, assisting with quotes, orders, and product inquiries. The role blends sales, customer service, estimating, and purchasing, with the opportunity to use a consultative sales approach to deliver exceptional results. While most work is inbound, there will be opportunities to prospect during slower periods, and travel is minimal. Duties Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries promptly and resolving issues efficiently Handle inbound inquiries via phone and email from contractors, fabricators, and distributors Prepare accurate quotes and estimates using fundamental math and technical data Collaborate with internal departments to ensure order accuracy and timely delivery Develop strong customer relationships through consultative, solution-oriented communication Learn and apply technical fastener specifications and drawings. Manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail Participate in ongoing training and development to improve product knowledge and sales skills Collaborate with marketing teams on campaigns to boost brand awareness and drive sales growth Upsell additional products or services to existing clients to maximize revenue opportunities Qualifications Proven experience in outside sales, B2B (business-to-business) sales, or technology sales preferred Bachelor's degree preferred but not required Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong math aptitude and comfort with technical detail Outstanding customer service and problem-solving abilities Ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines Deductive reasoning and logical decision-making Coachable, persistent, and eager to learn The desire and ability to learn negotiation and closing skills Exceptional attention to detail About Portland Bolt Since 1912, Portland Bolt has been manufacturing high-quality, custom bolts and fasteners for construction and industrial projects across North America.
