Job Purpose and Impact The Dairy Technical Specialist will provide technical advice and support to dairy consultants and customers during and after product sales. In this role, you will be the lead contact for dairy consultants and customers and you will stay ahead of technology and business practices through workshops, research and professional meetings. Key Accountabilities Support sales with dairy ration formulation and ongoing trainings. Collaborate with consultants to provide onsite technical support for current customers and prospects. Provide customer solutions and technical support materials to specific customers. Perform complex research for product development to understand product properties and systems operations. Compile and analyze data for project update, working with external suppliers to test new products and technologies to make recommendations on applications. Organize project data and conclusions for internal and customer presentations, assist with product demonstrations and service as subject matter guide during meetings with prospective customers. Stay ahead of product insight and research to improve value of offerings. Keep application and value collection up to date in the systems. Independently handle complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating only the most complex issues to appropriate staff. Other duties as assigned Qualifications Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a related field (Dairy related field) or equivalent experience Minimum of four years of related work experience Extensive experience in dairy technical support and ration balancing formulation Possess a valid drivers licence Availability to travel up to 50% of the time Preferred Qualifications Master's degree, Doctorate degree, doctor of veterinary medicine or related advanced degree Experience with Dairy Ration Formulation and Herd management software (PC Dart, Dairy Comp, Lely Horizon, Delpro, etc.) Experience with customer support Bilingual in Spanish/English Position Information Relocation assistance will not be provided for this position.
Location:
Remote for the New York area. The expected salary for this position is $100,000 - $130,000. Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific location, certifications, education, and level of experience. The disclosed range estimate may be adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Cargill we put people first.
