Job Description

Retail Whole Goods Technology SalespersonPosition OverviewThis is a full-time hybrid opportunity based in the Greater Yakima Area, combining on-site work with some work-from-home flexibility. The Retail Whole Goods Technology Salesperson will promote agricultural equipment and technology solutions, generate customer interest, and drive retail sales across orchard, vineyard, and specialty agricultural markets.

The ideal candidate is a customer-focused sales professional who can understand customer needs, explain equipment and technology solutions in practical terms, and build long-term relationships with growers and agricultural businesses.

Key ResponsibilitiesEngage with walk-in, inbound, and prospective customers to understand their equipment and technology needs.

Conduct product demonstrations and clearly explain product features, benefits, and applications.

Prepare accurate quotes, follow up on leads, and close retail sales.

Develop and maintain strong, long-term customer relationships.

Maintain current knowledge of agricultural equipment, technology, product offerings, and industry trends.

Manage and document customer interactions, leads, and sales activities using CRM or company sales systems.

Collaborate with service and other internal teams to ensure a positive customer experience.

Support showroom merchandising and maintain an organized, customer-friendly sales environment.

Participate in marketing initiatives, industry events, product training, vendor programs, and other company activities as needed.

Consistently work toward and achieve established sales and customer service goals.

QualificationsProven retail sales experience with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals, preferably in equipment, agricultural, automotive, outdoor power equipment, or a related industry.

Strong customer service and communication skills with the ability to build trust and establish long-term relationships.

Consultative selling approach with strong active listening, follow-up, and closing skills.

Ability to learn technical products and explain equipment and technology in clear, practical terms.

Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple customers, leads, and sales opportunities.

Comfortable working in a hybrid environment and traveling to locations throughout the Greater Yakima Area as needed.

Reliable transportation and the ability to work independently when working remotely.

Basic proficiency with CRM or sales tracking systems, email, and standard office applications; point-of-sale experience is a plus.

Knowledge of or genuine interest in agriculture, farm equipment, outdoor power equipment, or agricultural technology is preferred.

Previous equipment or technology sales experience is highly desirable.

High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or technical training in agriculture, business, sales, or a related field is a plus.
