Job Description
Drive Growth Through Technical Expertise and Customer Partnership This role is ideal for a motivated individual with a strong scientific background and a passion for building customer relationships, solving technical challenges, and driving commercial success. As a Technical Sales Representative, you will be responsible for growing sales within an assigned territory by developing new business opportunities, expanding existing customer relationships, and providing consultative solutions involving analytical instrumentation, consumables, and services. Key Responsibilities Achieve or exceed assigned sales and business objectives. Develop and execute territory business plans, forecasts, and account growth strategies. Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and key decision-makers. Manage the complete sales cycle, from prospecting and qualification through quotation, negotiation, closing, and post-sale support. Use a consultative approach to understand customer applications and recommend appropriate technical solutions. Support trade shows, seminars, demonstrations, and other customer-facing activities. Maintain accurate sales activity, opportunity, and forecast information within the CRM system. What We're Looking For Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, or another STEM/physical science discipline. Knowledge of gas chromatography (GC) and mass spectrometry (GC/MS). Experience working with analytical instrumentation in a laboratory, technical, application, or commercial environment. B2B sales experience within scientific, laboratory, analytical instrumentation, life sciences, chemical, or related industries. Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with internal teams. Preferred Experience with GC/MS, thermal desorption, sample preparation, or related analytical techniques. Experience selling capital scientific instrumentation. Familiarity with Salesforce or similar CRM platforms. Why Consider This Role?
