About The Job Fortis College in Houston, Texas is seeking a skilled and passionate Surgical Technologist to join our Surgical Technology education program as an instructor. Job Description Instructional staff are responsible for guiding, evaluating, and documenting student progress toward course objectives, as well as participating in the ongoing review and enhancement of course curriculum and materials. Faculty must demonstrate strong qualifications through education and experience and be effective in delivering engaging, high-quality instruction. Key responsibilities include planning, organizing, and delivering classroom and hands-on learning experiences. Faculty may teach didactic, laboratory, and/or externship courses as assigned. In addition, instructors serve as student advisors, helping develop individualized study plans and providing academic guidance to support student success. Instructional staff report directly to the Program Director and collaborate as part of a team to support student outcomes, program excellence, and campus goals. Requirements Current résumé demonstrating one of the following within the past five (5) years: Minimum four (4) years of recent scrub experience, or Minimum four (4) years of recent experience teaching Surgical Technology, or A combination of clinical and instructional experience totaling four (4) years. Current NCCA-approved Surgical Technology credential (CST™, CSFA™, or
CST/CSFA
™) Associate degree or higher (required)Preferred:
