JOB SUMMARY
The Salesforce Administrator will support and maintain our Salesforce environment. Work closely with functional stakeholders and IT leadership to ensure Salesforce is reliable, well‑configured, and continuously improving to support institutional operations.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND TASKS
Salesforce Administration & Support Provide day‑to‑day administration of the Salesforce platform, including user setup, profiles, roles, permissions, and security settings Manage system configuration using standard Salesforce tools (objects, fields, validation rules, page layouts, record types) Serve as a first point of contact for Salesforce user questions, issues, and basic troubleshooting Assist with release management activities, including testing and deploying configuration changes Reporting & Data Support Create and maintain standard and custom Salesforce reports and dashboards Support data quality efforts, including data validation, cleanup, and integrity checks Assist with data imports, exports, and routine data maintenance tasks Work with stakeholders to understand reporting needs and translate them into usable reports Automation & Process Improvement Build and maintain basic Salesforce automations using tools such as Flows, workflow rules, and approval processes Assist with documenting and improving business processes supported by Salesforce Help identify opportunities to streamline manual processes through automation Documentation & Collaboration Create and maintain system documentation, training materials, and basic user guides Collaborate with IT, functional teams, and vendors to support Salesforce‑based solutions Participate in testing, training, and rollout of new Salesforce features or enhancements All other duties as assigned.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university.Experience:
1-2 years of experience supporting or administering Salesforce.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience with Jenzabar JRM (built on Salesforce) strongly preferred. Experience with other Jenzabar modules (any area) is a plus. Salesforce Administrator certification (or progress toward certification). Experience supporting Salesforce in a higher‑education or nonprofit environment.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Good understanding of Salesforce core concepts (objects, fields, reports, security, automation). Strong attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy. Ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non‑technical users. Willingness to learn and grow within the Salesforce ecosystem. Strong organizational and problem‑solving skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities. Collaborative mindset and customer‑service orientation. Interest in process improvement and system optimization. Comfort working in a regulated environment with attention to privacy and security.ENVIRONMENT
