Salesperson - Georgetown Pottery, Woolwich Location (Sun-Tues)

Georgetown Pottery is looking for a friendly, experienced salesperson at our Woolwich location! This is for Sunday-Tuesday shifts. In addition to our own locally made pottery, we sell a variety of fine homegoods & jewelry made by crafters throughout New-England & the US.

Responsibilities:

• Provide positive customer service by assisting shoppers with product selection, inquiries, and purchases
• Process transactions accurately using point-of-sale system
• Maintain a clean and organized sales floor to maintain a welcoming atmosphere
• Unpack pottery & product deliveries

Requirements:

• Previous experience in retail sales, preferably in an art focused environment
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage and build rapport with diverse customers
• Ability to multi-task and be a self-starter
• Job can be physically demanding at times as pottery is weighty
• you must be able to lift approx 40 pounds and stand for long periods/climb stairs.
• Must have reliable transportation

Pay:

From $16.50 per hour
