System Administrator/Network Engineer

Job Summary Burgess Technology Services is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented System Administrator/Network Engineer. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining, supporting, and optimizing client IT environments, including Windows Server, Office 365, Cloud, Active Directory, and network infrastructure. This role requires a person with reliable transportation, professional demeaner, and excellent troubleshooting skills. Duties Provide onsite support in Maine. This job requires frequent travel to client locations. Candidates must have reliable transportation and a clean driving record. System and Network Administration (AD, Group Policy, DNS, Etc) Perform troubleshooting and analyses of servers, workstations and associated systems. Handle DNS administration, implement and configure TCP/IP environments, and troubleshoot network problems. Undertake routine preventative measures. Implement, maintain, and monitor firewalls , VPNs , and network security appliances to safeguard client environments Manage user accounts, permissions, email, anti-virus, anti-spam, network utilities, and printing and security. Work collaboratively with other system administrators, network engineers, helpdesk technicians, and project teams to deliver efficient IT solutions. Skills Excellent communication skills and customer services skills Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills Ability to climb stairs and lift up to 50 lbs as needed for equipment setup. Strong skills in Cisco and HP switching and routing, VLAN configuration, firewall configuration. Candidates with Cisco certifications or equivalent experience preferred Experience with administration and support of Office 365, Azure, VMware & Microsoft Hyper-V, Antivirus software, Backups, remote management tools and desktop operating systems.

Education:

Associate's degree in Information Technology or MSP experience. Equivalent certifications may be considered. MSP experience is preferred. Windows Server administration and Active Directory management.

Pay:

$75,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
