JOB SUMMARY
A Salvage and Repair employee uses multiple hand tools to prepare, repair, and clean cabinets and cabinet material to restore to a usable condition and pass inspection.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Understand and utilize the visual quality standards manual and gauges Make independent quality decisions based on specs, processes, and operating procedures Perform repairs and clean cabinets using hand and power tools, towels, and dusters Accurately interpret labels, paperwork, option codes, and nomenclature Effectively communicate with appropriate parties all quality concerns Maintain a safe work environment, including housekeeping Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
Required Skills and Abilities:
Ability to identify cabinet types, wood species, finishes, color variances, door and drawer front styles, and all box components Ability to learn AWC quality systems including various computer programs and systems Ability to use basic math concepts and read a standard tape measure
Preferred Education and Experience:
High school diploma or G.E.D.
Required Physical Ability:
Prolonged periods of standing, bending, and use of repetitive motions Specific vison abilities including close and peripheral vision, and the ability to focus Regularly lift and/or move up to 20lb, occasionally lift and/or move up to 100lb
WORKING CONDITIONS
