  • Full-time Our client is a leading food manufacturer seeking a Sanitation Lead for their 2nd shift operations at their facility in Racine, WI. They offer a complete benefit package including employee discounts and an hourly rate of $24
  • 28/hour.

Job responsibilities include:
Responsible for supporting and assisting the Sanitation Supervisor in ensuring production and equipment are functioning in an optimal capacity while meeting required safety and sanitation standards. With the support of the Sanitation Supervisor, train, motivate, and ensure production and quality standards of team members individually and as a group, including leading by example Ensure all production equipment, facilities, and work areas are cleaned/sanitized according to safety and quality standards Maintain ingredients in an appropriate environment, according to safety and quality standards Support the Supervisor with training and development, performance management, coaching, and day-to-day guidance of the sanitation team Ensure adherence to Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOPs) for all equipment and processes Ensure all sanitation team members are trained and adhere to company GMPs Assist and support training and onboarding of new employees Promote and enforce compliance with HACCP and all other food safety procedures Provide knowledge of chemical mixes and MSDS; oversee team's use of chemicals and proper safety procedures Proactively identify sanitation inconsistencies and work towards resolution Monitor sanitation processes and proactively identify gaps or inconsistencies; implement corrective actions as needed Support and assist with employee relations and disciplinary actions and escalate concerns to leadership when appropriate Maintain documentation and records related to sanitation activities and compliance 2nd shift: 3:00 pm
  • 11:30 pm including weekend shifts The following requirements must be met to be considered for the position: Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent; AA/AS degree a plus 1+ years' experience in sanitation or related experience 2+ years' experience in a food manufacturing or a food processing environment required Prior experience in a lead or team support role Understanding of GMPs, SSOPs, and HACCP principles Knowledge of industrial cleaning chemicals and safe handling procedures Ability to train and guide team members in sanitation best practices Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and food safety; ServSafe Certification a big plus Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment and adapt to changing priorities Ability to lift, push, and pull as required and work in wet, cold, or hot environments Must be able to work weekends
