Saw Operator

Duties:

• Operate sawing equipment (band saw, chop saw) to cut various materials, including sheet metal and other materials, according to specifications
• Use precision measuring instruments, such as micrometers and calipers, to ensure accurate cuts
• Inspect the quality of the cut materials to ensure they meet the required standards
• Fabricate and assemble components using hand tools and other equipment as needed
• Follow safety protocols and guidelines while operating machinery and handling materials
• Maintain a clean and organized work area

Requirements:

• Previous experience operating sawing equipment in a manufacturing or similar environment
• Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments, such as micrometers and calipers
• Knowledge of different types of materials, including sheet metal, and their properties
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
• Strong attention to detail and ability to perform quality inspections
• Ability to use hand tools and other equipment safely and effectively
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team
