Saw Operator

Now hiring Saw Operators for a company in Akron. Weekly pay ranging between $16 - $20 per hour, depending on experience.

Job Duties:

Read job specifications to determine material requirements and saw adjustments. Position guides, stops, holding blocks, or other fixtures as indicated by scale, rule or template to secure and direct the workpiece using hand tools and measuring devices. Set controls to adjust speed/feed rates and blade tensions and adjust as necessary to produce the highest quality part as quickly and safely as possible. Observe machine operation to detect workpiece defects or machine malfunction. Measure workpiece dimensions to determine accuracy of cut part to print. Remove burrs, sharp edges, rust or scale from workpiece. Load/unload steel trucks, checking delivered material for order accuracy, Maintain steel inventory in an organized manner and assist in conducting annual physical inventory. Assist other departments and functions as needed.

Requirements:
