WHAT YOU'LL DO
As our Sawyer you will be responsible for accurately cutting hardwood lumber used in the manufacturing of mouldings and boards. This role plays a critical part in ensuring each piece is cut to specification, maximizing efficiency and minimizing waste while maintaining a safe and productive work environment.
THE NITTY GRITTY
Operate automated and manual saws Interpret work orders, cut sheets, and measurements Select appropriate lumber and ensure quality standards are met before and after cutting Label and organize cut materials for staging in assembly areas Perform routine checks on saw equipment and maintain blades for clean and precise cuts Follow all safety protocols and company procedures Assist with inventory management and communicate material needs to supervisors Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workstation
WHAT YOU NEED
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred Previous saw operation or lumber experience in a wood shop Ability to read a tape measurer and production drawings accurately Familiarity of hardwood species Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment Basic mechanical skills and familiarity with saw maintenance Forklift experience

A strong steward of Mans culture and core values Strong verbal and written communication skills: ability to communicate with a wide variety of people
WORK ENVIRONMENT
This job operates in a warehouse setting with exposure to noise, dust, machinery, and equipment including but not limited to table saws and panel saws.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
This is a physically demanding job. This role requires the ability to lift up to 75-100lbs.
POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday 7:00am to 3:30pm with schedule flexibility.
