Scale House Operator & Clerk

Scale Operator & Clerk Job Description Overview:

The Scale Operator & Clerk is responsible for the entire truck weighing process. The responsibilities include, but are not limited to, weighing trucks, shipping ticket compliance, navigating the Fastweigh system, running reports (shipping, inbound, production, etc.), playing a key role in inventory management, filing, site specific training, and checking for volatile organic compounds on all incoming CCDD loads using the photoionization detector. In addition, this position will be managing the location's parking and assisting with permits.

Duties:

Precisely weigh and ticket all outgoing and incoming loads Screening and recording incoming loads Directing vehicles entering and leaving the facility Ensure all trucks are in and out of the pit in a timely manner Inspect each incoming CCDD load, checking for VOC's with the PID Assist in the tracking of shipping and production totals by running various reports within Apex and production data received from Operations Management Staff Filing and organizing all CCDD, site specific, and shipping/production documents Provide site specific training to all persons new to the facility Maintain a clean and professional work environment within and around the scale house Monitor contracts for parking space rentals, as well as assigning spaces and collecting payments. Complete oversight of Parking Space Management, including property cleanliness that meets all OSHA and EPA regulations and addressing issues accordingly. Work with the lowboy division, to include obtaining permits and required documentation for equipment hauls and assist drivers in obtaining appropriate legal routes for equipment hauls and verifying equipment specifications Other duties as assigned

Position Requirements:
