Job Description

Shift and Normal Work Hours:
1st Shift

  • Friday 8:00am
  • 4:30 pm Position Description Under the direction of the Production Planner, the Scheduling Assistant assists in the scheduling of assigned product lines and ensures all manufactured and purchased parts are available for production to meet customer delivery requirements, in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Schedules and coordinates the flow of work within or between departments of manufacturing plant to expedite production. Review the master schedule for upcoming assigned product line requirements. Develop the schedule of production for assigned product lines to ensure on time customer delivery. Advise the Production Planner as to increases or decreases in production plans. Review the availability of manufactured and purchase parts for the assigned product lines. Acquire purchase order due dates and manufactured parts build dates. Establish and maintain lead times for product lines and OEM customers. Act as technical resource to customer service, purchasing, manufacturing, and other departments to coordinate efforts and to address and resolve inquiries and problems. May maintain awareness and follow-up on rework / replacement orders. May follow-up to ensure parts are shipped. Follow new product lines for validation and production. Expedites operations that delay schedules and alters schedules to meet unforeseen conditions. Attend and actively participate in all scheduled meetings. Complete and maintain all required paperwork, records, documents, etc. Follow and comply with all safety and work rules and regulations. Maintain housekeeping standards. Requirements Bachelor's degree (B.A) from a four-year college, one or two years related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to read and interpret documents such as shop orders, purchase orders, production documents, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence, speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent. To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of inventory software, manufacturing software, spreadsheet software, word processing software, database software, and design software.
Pay:
Up to $65,000.00 per year
