School Adjustment Counselor:
Gateway Regional School Begins August 25, 2026 Gateway Regional School is seeking a School Adjustment Counselor
Qualified Candidates Must:
  • Have a MA School Adjustment or Social Worker License (or licensed by August 25, 2026)
  • Have a Master's Degree
  • Have experience working in a school setting (preferred)
  • Have strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Have experience teaching social skills groups
  • Have experience writing behavior plans, student support plans; have knowledge of IEPs
  • Hold an unwavering belief that every student can grow and succeed
Professional Responsibilities Include:
  • Work collaboratively with grade-level teams and departments to support students' academic, social, and emotional growth within the classroom setting.
  • Provide direct counseling services to students, including individual and small group support based on identified needs.
  • Collaborate regularly with other School Adjustment Counselors and School Counselors to ensure coordinated, comprehensive support for students.
  • Meet all service delivery requirements for students on IEPs, including documentation, progress monitoring, and participation in Team meetings.
  • Support the development and implementation of behavior intervention plans and social-emotional strategies for students.
  • Participate in assigned duties in accordance with contractual expectations.
  • Attend and actively engage in staff meetings, professional development, required trainings, and other meetings throughout the school year.
  • Maintain ongoing communication and collaboration with families, caregivers, and school staff to support student success.
  • Respond to student crises and provide appropriate intervention and follow-up as needed.
  • Assist in fostering a positive, inclusive, and supportive school climate for all students.
  • Maintain accurate and timely records in accordance with school, district, and state guidelines.
  • Potentially perform other duties as requested by administration to support the needs of the school community.
Rate of pay: $52,803-$91,482, dependent upon education and experience.
