This position involves working with school-age children before and after school during the academic year, as well as full-time during the summer months. The ideal candidate will be passionate about fostering a safe, engaging, and educational environment for children. Key Responsibilities Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development. Supervise and engage with children before and after school hours, ensuring their safety and well-being. Provide full-time care and educational activities during the summer program. Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages learning and creativity. Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and staff regarding children's progress and needs. Maintain accurate records of attendance, activities, and any incidents. Follow all licensing and regulatory requirements related to school-age child care. Qualifications Experience working as a School Age Teacher or in a similar role. Ability to work before and after school hours during the academic year and full-time in the summer. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Patience, creativity, and a genuine love for working with children. Knowledge of child development principles and best practices. CPR and First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain. High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education in early childhood education or related field is a plus.
