Job Description

Category Schools - COTA Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact on young learners' lives by supporting preschoolers' growth across Carbon and Lehigh Counties as an itinerant Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA). This contract opportunity offers a dynamic schedule, working within early intervention and potentially transitioning to serve K-12 students during the school year. Candidates must be enthusiastic about adapting to a variety of educational settings and collaborating across a dedicated interdisciplinary team.
Qualifications and Experience:
Current, active Pennsylvania COTA licensure is required Valid NBCOT certification, with readily available NBCOT # Pennsylvania Professional Personnel ID (PPID #) is required Previous experience delivering occupational therapy services in schools or early intervention programs strongly preferred Comfortable engaging with preschool-aged children and able to adapt to K-12 student caseloads as needs evolve Strong communication skills; able to collaborate with teachers, families, and other professionals Reliable transportation for travel between assigned locations in
Carbon or Lehigh County Key Responsibilities:
Deliver itinerant occupational therapy services to preschool-aged children in early intervention settings, onsite and in-person Adjust therapeutic approaches to meet the unique needs of each student as assignments and age-ranges shift Work proactively with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans Support transitions, data collection, and ongoing documentation to ensure consistent student progress Build strong relationships with caregivers and school staff, offering guidance and strategies for student success
