Category Schools - LPN Nurse Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting students' health and well-being as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) in a dynamic school setting near Prattville, AL. In this contract role, you'll contribute to a positive, collaborative environment while providing essential care for students from diverse backgrounds. Your day-to-day will center on delivering compassionate nursing services, supporting students' medical needs, and ensuring a safe, healthy campus environment. You'll become an essential part of the school community, working closely with educators and staff to promote student wellness and educational success.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Current and valid LPN or LVN license in the state of Alabama (or eligibility for reciprocity) Prior experience in a pediatric, school, or community health setting preferred Confidence working independently while collaborating with teachers, administrators, and families Strong assessment, documentation, and communication skills CPR/BLS certification (current or willingness to obtain) Friendly, approachable, and patient demeanorResponsibilities:
Administer medications, treatments, and first aid according to school protocols Track and document student health concerns and medication administration Support students with chronic conditions (such as diabetes, asthma, or allergies) Respond promptly to medical emergencies, following established protocols Partner with school staff to promote health education and preventative care Serve as a resource and advocate for students, families, and staff on health-related mattersPerks and Benefits:
