Job Description

Category Schools - PT Job Type Contract Enhance your career by supporting students with a passion for physical therapy in an educational setting. This contract role involves working closely with children to improve their physical abilities, empower their confidence, and help them reach key developmental milestones. Candidates will have the flexibility to choose between a full-time or part-time schedule, with a total of 30 contacts per week (equivalent to 35 billable hours). Individuals who thrive in collaborative environments and are dedicated to making a difference in the school community will find this position especially rewarding, as it allows for meaningful engagement with both students and staff.
Qualifications and Experience:
Valid and current Physical Therapist license Prior experience in schools or pediatric settings strongly preferred Understanding of IEP processes and therapy documentation requirements Ability to communicate effectively with students, teachers, and parents Strong organizational skills and adaptability Commitment to ethical and professional standards in therapy practice
Responsibilities:
Assess and evaluate student physical therapy needs and develop individualized treatment plans Deliver direct therapy services tailored to meet specific student goals Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and support educational programs Document therapy sessions and maintain thorough, up-to-date records Provide resources and education to teachers and families regarding therapy techniques and strategies Contribute to IEP meetings and support compliance with school policies This is a flexible opportunity with the possibility to accommodate part-time candidates if interested in splitting the caseload.
