  • Part-time Degree in Physical Therapy, active Physical Therapist license and 1+ year of Physical Therapy experience required.
Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Make a meaningful impact supporting students at all grade levels, from pre-kindergarten through 12th grade, as a contract physical therapist for the 2025-2026 academic year. This part-time opportunity allows you to focus your expertise on fostering physical development and helping students reach their full potential within an inclusive educational environment. With the flexibility of working 1-2 days per week, you'll provide valuable services to those who need it most—all while balancing your personal schedule and professional goals.
Key Qualifications:
Active and current Physical Therapist certification, with eligibility to practice in Connecticut Proven experience working in school settings Comfortable serving a wide age range (PreK-12th grade) Excellent interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with teachers, families, and other school-based professionals Committed to adaptive support, creative approaches, and patient, student-centered care
Role Responsibilities:
Conduct physical therapy assessments and periodic evaluations for students with diverse needs Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans Document progress, maintain records, and participate in IEP meetings as required Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate therapeutic strategies into daily classroom routines Offer guidance and resources for educators and families to reinforce therapy goals Promote student engagement and independence throughout school activities
