Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into an opportunity to make a lasting impact as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP-CCC) in a supportive school-based setting near Scranton, PA. This contract role focuses on Extended School Year (ESY) services, working closely with students to help them achieve their communication goals over the summer months. This is an ideal position for professionals who are passionate about empowering young learners and enjoy fostering development in a collaborative educational environment.
Key Qualifications:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) Active Pennsylvania SLP license or eligibility for licensure Previous school-based or pediatric experience is highly valued Strong collaborative skills for working with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams Excellent communication, organization, and record-keeping abilities
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide speech and language therapy for students participating in ESY services Evaluate and document student progress; adjust interventions as needed Develop and implement Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with school and legal requirements Participate in team meetings, IEP conferences, and parent communications Collaborate with teachers and school staff to integrate therapy within educational settings If you're ready to help students build their confidence and communication skills this summer, this position offers a rewarding way to utilize your expertise.
