Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact in the lives of elementary students as a Speech Language Pathologist working in a dynamic school setting. This contract opportunity runs from August 17, 2026, through June 7, 2027, offering a stable, school-year assignment near Mechanicsville, VA. You'll work across 2-3 school sites, supporting an engaging caseload of approximately 40 elementary students. Your expertise will play a vital role in helping young learners find their voices and achieve their full communication potential.
Key Qualifications:
Valid SLP licensure in Virginia (or ability to obtain) ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC) preferred, but open to Clinical Fellows (CFY) School-based experience strongly preferred Knowledge of best practices for service delivery and IEP development in elementary settings Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
Primary Responsibilities:
Conduct speech, language, and communication evaluations for elementary-aged students Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) Deliver direct and consultative speech-language services; monitor student progress and adjust plans as needed Collaborate with educators, families, and related service providers to optimize student outcomes Participate in IEP meetings, data collection, and compliance documentation across multiple sites Perks of the
