Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact on students' lives by using your Speech-Language Pathology expertise in a supportive educational environment. This contract opportunity is located near Pasadena, MD, offering the chance to provide essential speech and language services within dynamic school settings. Ideal candidates are committed to helping students achieve their communication goals and thrive academically and socially. As a school-based SLP, you'll work collaboratively with educators, families, and other specialists to support student development.
Qualifications:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders Valid state certification/licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (or eligibility to obtain) Previous experience with school-aged children preferred, though strong clinical backgrounds will be considered Familiarity with IEP processes, progress monitoring, and developing individualized therapy plans Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills Ability to adapt therapy strategies to diverse student needs
Responsibilities:
Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders for students across various grade levels Develop, implement, and regularly update individualized intervention plans Participate in IEP meetings, providing insights and recommendations for student success Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, teachers, and families to maximize student progress Document therapy sessions, maintain compliance with state and federal special education requirements Provide resources and consultation for classroom teachers as needed
