Job Description

Category Schools - Counselor Job Type Contract Step into a vital role as a School Counselor, where your passion for supporting students can shape brighter futures. Your expertise in counseling will directly impact students' academic, social, and emotional growth, making every day meaningful.
Qualifications and Experience:
Valid state certification or licensure as a School Counselor Previous experience working with K-12 students preferred Strong understanding of developmental, academic, and social issues affecting children and adolescents Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to address student needs Experience with crisis intervention, conflict resolution, and guidance curriculum implementation
Key Responsibilities:
Provide individual and small group counseling to address student challenges and enhance well-being Conduct classroom lessons on social, emotional, and academic topics Identify students in need of additional support through data analysis and collaboration with staff Develop and implement strategies to improve student attendance, behavior, and achievement Consult with teachers, parents, and outside agencies to coordinate services and interventions Maintain accurate and confidential records consistent with ethical and legal standards
